The ones everybody asks, answered straight.
Do I need to learn anything?
No. You say what you want changed, the way you would say it to a colleague. Claude asks one question when something is unclear. The onboarding session is thirty minutes, and you leave with a one page card.
What if I make a mistake?
You see a preview before anything goes live, so most mistakes never get that far. If one does, say undo that and the previous version comes back. A change that would break the site cannot be published at all.
Who owns the site?
You do. Your domain stays registered in your name, where it is today. If you ever leave, we send you a full copy of your site and your data, and delete your account when you say so. We never hold your passwords.
What happens to my current site?
We move it, page for page, then keep it running for two weeks alongside the new one. Every old address still lands somewhere sensible afterwards.
Do you handle my email?
We never touch email records during a move, so your email keeps working. If your email currently lives with your web host, we move it somewhere safe first, before the site moves.
What does it cost?
Onboarding is $499 once, and hosting is $199 a month. We are taking 50 founding businesses: for them the move is free and hosting is $50 a month, locked for a year. See pricing.
Is there a referral program?
Yes. Every business on Marquezee has a referral code and a link, on its billing page. When a business you refer starts its plan and pays its first month, you both get a month of hosting free, taken off your next invoice. There is no limit to how many businesses you can bring.
Do I need any other accounts?
Only your own Claude account, on any paid plan, which Anthropic bills you for directly. You connect it to Marquezee with your Marquezee sign in. No website builder, no hosting account, no GitHub.
Can my team make changes too?
Yes, on the Team plan. You add people and give each a role: an editor can change and publish, a contributor can propose changes for an owner or editor to publish. You get an email when someone else publishes, and you can see who changed what.
Is the site accessible?
Every site is built to WCAG 2.2, level AA, the standard used for the ADA, and checked again every time it changes. It has its own Privacy page and Accessibility statement, and sets no cookies of its own.
I build websites for clients. Can I use Marquezee?
Yes. Developers and agencies pay $99 a site a month, with no onboarding fee, and run every client site from one sign in. The plan starts at three sites ($297 a month), billed whether or not all three are live yet, so it only makes sense for someone with several clients. Talk to us.
What is Claude?
Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. You use your own Claude account, on your phone or computer, to ask for changes. Your account is yours, in your name, on any paid plan.
Can I change the design myself?
No, and that is on purpose. The design, new pages and anything about your domain go to a person at H-Star, so your site cannot be broken by accident. Your content, hours, menu, specials, photos, is all yours to change any time.
How fast does a change go live?
Within a couple of minutes of you saying publish.
Do you rebuild my reservations or ordering?
No. Whatever you already use for reservations, ordering or bookings stays where it is, and the site links to it or embeds it.
